Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has successfully defended his Olympics 100 meter title, winning the race in 9.63 seconds, a new Olympic record.
In one of the most highly anticipated races of the London Games, Bolt matched his gold-medal finish from Beijing 2008, with his fellow Jamaican Yohan Blake earning the silver and American Justin Gatlin taking the bronze.
Earlier Sunday, Ethiopia's Tiki Gelana won the women's marathon Olympic gold medal through the rainy streets of London.
